Aurally it is the sound of Om.
Taste, touch and smell, it is the Chocolate Om.

I know, some may find it blasphemous to place OM tattoo on the body but as I have explained earlier tattoos are very personal and so is meaning of Om to each individual.

Tattoo Tuesdays - Aum Tattoos at their finest

I hesitated, I paused and I pondered: was it OK for me to post the picture of Om Tattoos on this blog? Would it be considered blasphemous if I did? Would it detract from the spiritual connotation that Aum has for a lot of people?

I even thought about setting up a separate blog to showcase Om Tattoos, but then in a moment of epiphany, I realized that the highest respect one can give to a symbol is to have it permanently scribed on your own self. It is the most personal commitment you can make and why would I even consider it to be any less than other depiction and manifestation of the Om Symbol.

A symbol which is the origin of life and spirit, being etched on one’s own body is so beautiful and such a grand gesture of the respect that any doubts that I had about posting them were dispelled.

So every Tuesday has been set aside as Tattoo Tuesday, an example of Aum tattoo will be shown here.

This is a great pose and a wonderful combination of Om and a cross!
